I speak from my experience as an Architect, and it seems incredible that more than 10 years have passed and I am still using my MacBook Pro Retina. I have come to think that it is "indestructible".
I won't lie to you, I only had one problem with this equipment and that is that at that time the Retina screen gave me a ghost effect, called "Ghosting" where when an image was left static for a long time, it overlapped with others. (There I was, being one of the first to try Retina displays.)

HP
I have a brother who is fascinated by the HP brand, and although more than 3 computers have already failed, it seems that the maximum life limit of an HP laptop is 5 years, and since the warranty has not had good experiences. They have always failed just after 366 days, it will be a coincidence.
But there must be something good about these laptops. Recently I was between choosing an HP laptop and a Lenovo laptop, I wanted it for "rough work", that was economical and that I could take it to the kitchen without caring.
I was about to buy my Lenovo laptop, when what do you think, my brother started telling me a lot of advantages of HP laptops, that they had better quality materials, hard drives with higher capacity, better RAM, better designs (and I think that three computers have not already failed you).

Lenovo
The Lenovo laptop brand has currently positioned itself quickly in the market and it seems that it is doing something right, when I was about to buy one of them, what caught my attention the most is that they stood out in their minimalist, light and thin designs.
And you won't believe me, but I have a sister who loves to do Yoga and at her current job they gave her a Lenovo Yoga, maybe laptops also choose their owners.
So, I took on the task of borrowing his laptop and giving it a once-over. At first you get carried away by the design, but as soon as you touch it and weigh it, I get the impression that the quality of the materials needs to be improved, I feel that if I drop it, it would break the first time.

Asus
Without a doubt one of the best brands for laptops is Asus. If I had to choose a laptop for gamers, I would surely opt for the Asus brand, although they are computers with a more robust and heavier appearance, I really like their designs, I would call them "gothic", their features stand out. backlit keyboards, ideal for video game lovers and those who love to play for many hours at night.
A drawback and the need for high specifications to run all types of design and video game programs is its high cost. Dell
And speaking of not marrying a brand. Dell brand laptops in recent years have proven not to rest on their laurels, they have focused on the term "Ultrabook", making computers compact, fast and really powerful, ideal for work that requires more than a pretty design, such as they are good for university students.

And I would just be careful, in the choice of equipment, possible problems and the warranty.
